Hasted’s History of Kent, 1778, vol. 2: The Lowry of Tonbridge

Leigh is included in the Volume I of the map of Somerden Hundred and in the Volume 2 map of the Lowry of Tonbridge. Both maps are based, to a large extent, on Andrew, Drury and Herbert’s map. Shown below is a scaled down image of the map from Volume 2 – the Lowry of Tonbridge.

Penshurst Park is shown as two parks, one described as The Park and the other as Lyghe Park .

Though the map from Volume 1 correctly shows Blackhoath Green, this map confusingly shows it as Leigh Green.
