1916 composite

Map re-done by John Donald from large hand-drawn map by to correspond with Ordnance Survey maps. This is particularly valuable for its key (not always complete) for the various buildings, which now spread over a much larger area, taking in what is now farmland to the northeast of the footpath. It is obvious that by this date gunpowder is a minor interest and nitrocellulose (gun cotton) is being made for cordite manufacture.
