Frank Arthur Killick

Private 201161, 2nd/4 th Battalion, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Formerly TF/3672, Royal West Kent Regiment. Enlisted Tonbridge. He was awarded the Victory and British War Medals and the 1914/15 Star for 1915. He served at Gallipoli, in the Dardanelles . His medal card state the ‘date to theater’ as being 1 August 1915 . Died of Wounds 16th May 1918 aged 21. Buried in Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel .

JERUSALEM WAR CEMETERY was begun after the occupation of the city on 11th December 1917, with 270 burials. It was later enlarged to take graves from the battlefields and smaller cemeteries in the neighbourhood. There are now 2,515 Commonwealth burials of the First World War in the cemetery, 100 of them unidentified.
