TF/3641 Private, 2nd /4th battalion, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent. Gained two campaign medals. Wounded in Gallipoli, died of wounds at sea 23rd October 1915, aged 22. Remembered on the Helles Memorial, Turkey .
Born at Leigh, Kent between October and December 1893. Resident in Penshurst. Eldest son of Charles and Mary Ann Grubb, of Stone Cottage, Penshurst. The 1901 census showed the family living at Cinder Hill.
Remembered on the Chiddingstone Causeway, Penshurst and Edenbridge Hospital War Memorials.
