Arthur Edward Warner

G/1855, Sergeant, 7th Battalion, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent. Gained two campaign medals, one as a Private, the other as a Sergeant. Killed in Action 24th August 1917 aged 29. Buried in Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, Ieper, Belgium.

Born in Blockley, Worcestershire in about 1888. Son of Lewis and Celia Warner. Husband of Ethel E. Warner, of The Nook, Swan St., Sible Hedingham, Essex. Resident in Penshurst, Kent when he enlisted.

Remembered on the Chiddingstone Causeway, Penshurst and Edenbridge Hospital War Memorials.
