Alfred Sears

G/10508, Private, 6th Battalion, Queen’s Own (Royal West Kent Regiment). Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent. Gained one campaign medal. Killed in Action 1st December 1917, aged about 34 in France & Flanders.

Not found on the Commonwealth Grave Commission website.

Born in Chiddingstone, Kent in about 1882. Son of John and Sarah Sears. In the 1901 census was living with his parents, three bothers and a sister at Brownings, Chiddingstone where his father was the Farmer.

Remembered on the Chiddingstone Causeway and Edenbridge Hospital War Memorials.
